As the topic for this years Ticino Workshop organized by FineArtPix, “monochrome” was given. Instead of falling into the classic B/W pattern, I decided to take the term by its meaning “single color” and tried several ideas. In this series, the same 4 leaves are presented each in blueish, greenish and reddish toning. Breaking the exact symmetry by showing rounded, horizontal, vertical, horizontal, diagonal and cellular patterns give the collection an additional abstract appearance.
I found I could say things with colors that I couldn’t say in any other way – things that I had no words for.
