During the last, almost 2 1/2 years, the Covid-19 pandemic, photography was focused on empty streets, closed Restaurants, and most often people with masks. Thousands of pictures have been published, reflecting on the loneliness of the individual by social distancing, the depressions caused by emptiness, the lack of interpersonal communication, purely digital interaction and statistical key figures.
Maybe it is due to my general resilience and optimism, that my approach to this is a more analytical one. I already think about the end of it and which objects we eventually will keep from this soft form of the plague. besides the omnipresent masks, vaccination certificates , testing kits and travel documents.
What do you keep as objects that you will show to next generations to explain how it was?
And indeed it could be said that once the faintest stirring of hope became possible, the dominion of plague was ended.
